CONTENT TELEVISION SIGNS NEW DRAMA DEALS THROUGHOUT ASIA

London, 2nd December 2015 – Content Television, a division of Content Media Corporation, has shipped a number of drama titles to broadcasters across Asia, it was announced today at Asia Television Forum in Singapore.

In a pan-Asia deal, Fox International Channels Asia Pacific has acquired the action-packed drama Dead Rising: Watchtower, based on the global hit video franchise, for broadcast throughout the region. A 113’ HD feature following four survivors as they join forces to pursue the truth behind a large-scale zombie outbreak, Dead Rising: Watchtower features a stellar cast including Jesse Metcalfe (Dallas), Dennis Haysbert (24), Meghan Ory (Intelligence) and Oscar nominated Virginia Madsen (Sideways).

The award-winning live-action drama Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (90’), also from Content Television’s renowned ‘game-to-screen’ branded franchise portfolio, has been signed by GMA Network in the Philippines, alongside The Ark (90’), a unique retelling of the biblical story of Noah and the ark from acclaimed writer Tony Jordan (Hustle), starring David Threlfall (Shameless) and Joanne Whalley (The Borgias).

Also in the Philippines, Solar Entertainment has picked up a package of drama titles headlined by Cyberbully, the critically acclaimed special recently nominated for two Broadcast Awards. A Raw TV Production for Channel 4, Cyberbully stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as a troubled teenager battling against a malicious and terrifying cyber stalker.

Finally, China’s state broadcaster CCTV has picked up a raft of Content Television’s TV movies in a deal brokered by Hong Kong Happiness, including He Who Dares: Downing Street Siege; Earthbound starring David Morrissey and Rafe Spall; Pete’s Christmas; and Driving Lessons starring Julie Walters and Rupert Grint.

Content Television is showcasing a range of new titles at Asia Television Forum, including the latest much-anticipated instalment from the Halo franchise: animated drama feature Halo: The Fall of Reach; eight-part psychological thriller Slasher, a blend of classic horror with contemporary murder mystery from Shaftesbury, Super Channel and NBC Universal’s Chiller, starring Katie McGrath (Jurassic World, Merlin); and Style Queens, a six-part entertainment series exploring the life and style of the world’s most famous celebrity fashion icons.
