CONTENT TELEVISION SET TO SHOWCASE DIVERSE SLATE OF HIT PROGRAMMING AT NATPE EUROPE

London, 17th June 2015 – Content Television, a division of Content Media Corporation, will feature a wealth of new programming at the upcoming NATPE Europe in Prague including brand new drama, returning primetime favourites and hit factual series and specials.

Fresh from its ratings-winning primetime debut on the UK’s BBC1 is the new 6 x 1 hour instalment of The Syndicate. Written by the multi award-winning Kay Mellor and following the lives of the household staff at an ailing stately home as they win the lottery jackpot, The Syndicate features an all-star cast including Lenny Henry, Anthony Andrews and Melanie Hill.

Content Television will debut three brand new drama thriller features - Dead Rising: Watchtower, with Jesse Metcalfe, Virginia Madsen and Dennis Haysbert; The Cyberbully, starring Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as a teenage girl battling with an anonymous cyber-stalker and the visceral spy thriller Newcomer.

Hit police thriller Line of Duty returns for a much-anticipated third season, featuring a brand new anti-corruption investigation written by Jed Mercurio, and popular character-driven police drama 19-2 is back for a second season. New primetime drama mini-series Dominion Creek (4 x 1 hour) follows the three Connolly brothers from the silver mines of Montana to the Yukon during the great gold rush of 1895.

Headlining Content Television’s factual portfolio is a broad slate of music-based features. Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown (1 x 120’), charts the iconic musician’s journey from rhythm and blues to funk, Sinatra: All or Nothing At All (2 x 1 hour) offers an up close and personal examination of the life, music and career of the legendary entertainer, from Academy Award winning filmmaker Alex Gibney, and one-hour special Maestro follows Grammy Award winning conductor Paavo Järvi and an array of brilliant musicians as they perform to sold-out music halls across the world.   

Based on the book by Pulitzer Prize winning author Lawrence Wright, and written and directed by Alex Gibney, Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief is a feature-length special profiling eight former members of the church of Scientology, while Pacific Warriors tells the remarkable story of the greatest underdogs in professional sport, from the tiny island nations of Tonga, Fiji and Samoa, who take on the giants of rugby at the World Cup. Finally, documentary series The Secret Life of Cars follows classic car expert Simon Kidston’s mission to uncover the astonishing history behind the world’s most historically important automobiles.
