CONTENT TELEVISION EXPANDS SALES TEAM, RECRUITING STEPHEN JOY TO LEAD UK SALES DRIVE

London, 2nd February 2016 – Content Television, a division of Content Media Corporation, has expanded its international sales team in response to a continued growth in programming demand, appointing Stephen Joy to the newly-created position of Director UK and SVOD Sales.

Previously Director of TV & Digital for Koch Media UK, Stephen’s role will encompass the management of UK sales for the Content Television portfolio, incorporating partner catalogues, to broadcast television, SVOD platforms and home entertainment labels.

Based in the company’s London office, Stephen will also manage Content Television’s relationship with selected key SVOD platforms on a global basis as well as the transactional model for Content Television and its aggregation partners’ own TVOD/DTO label in the UK.

Stephen brings more than thirteen years’ new media and TV experience in the independent sector. At Koch Media UK he managed all new media accounts along with TV sales across feature film and documentary titles. Prior to this, Stephen spent ten years at Entertainment One, managing EST and TVOD rights in the UK for major franchises such as The Twilight Saga, The Walking Dead and Peppa Pig.

Stephen will report to Jonathan Ford, Executive Vice President, Sales & Distribution at Content Television, who commented, “As the flow of programming coming into the group continues to grow, it is essential that we maximise opportunities for this content in key markets such as the UK and significant growth areas including the SVOD sector.
